Born in 1975, I currently work in Spokane, WA as an artist and lecturer of art at Whitworth University. I received a bachelor of fine arts degree from Pacific Lutheran University in 1997 and a master in fine arts from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2002. I've taught a variety of courses including drawing, painting, design, art history and capstone classes.
My work is both an exploration in materials, and an exploration of subject matter whose meaning is oftentimes elusive. Friends and family play characters in what are oftentimes religious narratives. These images, though personal to me, explore more universal issues of spirituality, psychology and identity.
